This image is about 1/4 of my land and where my current homestead is. The first building towards the road is my current home, the second is the workshop and garage and the third is my barn. The black line and square is where the driveway will continue to my new build site.
I’ve thought about writing a blog for a long time, but have never made the decision to go forward with it until now. My main motivations are to share my process of building a natural home in rural Manitoba, and I have a dream of my land becoming a place where people can connect to nature and their own selves to help with their personal and therefore our collective healing. I am concerned that I will use this space to fulfill some of my emotional addictions and to reinforce my facade, so I will be as aware of those as much as I can as I post.

I bought this land which I call Cultivation Peace in 2009 and have been living on it since 2010. I have had many dreams, projects, ideas, and experiments, most of which have not been successful, but have taught me a lot. The cob bench pictured above is an example of such experiments and projects. I was a city girl by birth, but a country girl by nature and I am learning the new skill set it takes to live in the country. I will write about several of the projects I began and how I have learned from them. I will share what I am doing now moving forward. I will share the process of building my new home. And I will explore how my emotional state and spiritual journey has impacted these things as well as my life as a whole.
I just started this blog in Sept. 2018 so it is incomplete. There is a learning curve for me in setting this up, so some things may change, but I wanted to just start posting and putting myself out there. I am working on transparancey, honesty and loving actions. I hope to express those qualities through this blog.
Peace to you,
Sage
